Ordering a program and getting CLE credit.
Here’s how it works . . .
Don’t worry. It’s easy. On the main CLE Page, scroll down to the program of your choice and find the “Add to Cart” link below the program description. Click on this link to pay the program fee by credit card or PayPal via a secure site. Once your order is submitted, you’ll receive an email with a link where you can stream the program on your smartphone, laptop, or desktop computer online for up to three months. After you have finished the program, please fill out, sign, scan and email the Attorney’s On-Demand CLE Attendance Report to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Email is quickest, but if you prefer you may mail your completed Attendance Report to M. C. Hurley, 411 Walnut St., No. 13851, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. You’ll find the Attendance Report form here and among the PDF files available for download below the program description on the main CLE page.
Once I have your attendance report, I will send you a Certificate of CLE Attendance and report your credit hours directly to the bar if you are licensed in North Carolina. Please note that the fee charged by the North Carolina State Bar for CLE credit (currently $3.50 per credit hour) is not paid as part of your course fee and will appear on your state bar annual dues statement at the end of the year.
Attorneys licensed in jurisdictions other than North Carolina may use the Certificate of CLE Attendance as well as the Program Syllabus and Speaker Biography (available below the program description) to request approval for CLE credit from their state bar. They likewise will be responsible for any applicable fees charged by their bar to process their credits.
Important: During the program, a four-digit number is briefly displayed at random intervals in two-digit increments, announced beforehand by an audible signal. Make a note of these numbers on a scrap of paper while you are watching the program. You’ll need to write all four numerals in the space labelled “4-digit verification code” on your Attendance Report in the order in which they were announced. This is a system to verify that you watched the whole program for the credit hours you are claiming. Forms claiming credit for the full duration of a program which do not have the code will be returned for completion before a certificate of attendance will be issued.
